As the days start to cool, our chefs have taken inspiration from the abundance of produce that September brings to create a menu that will warm you up whilst you relax in our lovely pub. As always, we have worked closely with the most trusted of suppliers to ensure that the freshest, most seasonal ingredients feature.
Sweetcorn chowder with Ancho chilli dressing is a hearty starter or transport yourself to the warmer climes of southern France with our sourdough crostini topped with courgettes, aubergines and black olives and served with a thyme and bay leaf tomato sauce.
September sees the return of one of our favourite dishes, beef stroganoff with pilaf rice. Smoky, spicy paprika gives this classic dish just the right amount of kick. For a plant-based dish, spiced roast butternut squash is partnered with chickpeas, tomato and roquette to create a light but deeply satisfying main.
Our desserts have an old school vibe this month with rich chocolate sponge with warm chocolate sauce and plum, apple and almond crumble being just two of our mouth-watering options to try.
